North Downs Way

So, as some of you know Jeremy, myself and Ibs (featured in photos below for those of you that don't know him) are planning on hiking the West Highland Way in Scotland at the end of May. So as a bit of a preparatory hike, and to psyche ourselves up, we decided to do a 2 day hike in SE England a few weekends ago, and managed to drag Karin and Greta along!

The weather was fantastic and we had a great weekend!!

The whole crew still fairly happy - as it was still Saturday morning and we hadn't had to endure the pains of the day yet! (Karin, Ibs, Greta, Jeremy Joanna)

Jeremy, Jo and the view over the English countryside.

Plowing on...

Cows!! These were some very inquisitive cows that came up to see what we were all about!

Pretty English Blue Bells lining the ground.

The Tiger Inn - was absolutely gorgeous, had an amazing selection of beers and other drinks and the food looked absoluetely divine - we were so bummed we had already eaten!!!

Lambs!! There were heaps of lambs around coz it's spring!!

Resting after a bit of a climb up a hill...

Nearly there... getting pretty exhausted on the first day

The white cliffs of Dover.

...and on

Here's a quick snap of a BBQ Evan and Dom had at their place the other weekend: Rob, Renee, Dom, Evan, Chris and Alison!

The weather was superb! We lounged around in the sun all afternoon!!

On other notes, we've been busily filling up our time before we leave London, this last weekend we've been hiking in Southeast England near Dover - which photos of will be appearing shortly. In two weeks time we'll being taking a narrow boat down the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal in Wales with Karin and Greta. Then two weeks after that we'll be taking a week off to hike the West Highland Way in Scotland with Ibs. And finally in June we're planning on hiking El Camino de Santiago (The Way of St James) in Spain!

In between all that we'll be doing all the touristy stuff in London we've never gotten around to and being as stingey as possible so we can afford to make it home!!

Life goes on...

So yeah, Jeremy and I have just been hanging around in London this last month, not much exciting stuff happening... we've been doing some planning for our final trip home, leaving London around early August, getting back to Oz on the 6th of December!! Yay!!

So this last month let's see, Jeremy bought me some pretty flowers! ... Awww

Ally joined us in London, we helped her put together an IKEA chest of drawers that required more that one type of screwdriver to put together!! I went to the St Patricks Day parade with her...

Us at the Parade, the sun was out, but it was still cold...

The Parade

Then yesterday Jeremy, Greta and I went to The Boat Race on the Thames, Oxford v Cambridge, has been going on for more than 150 years!

Mmm.. Yum, our picnic

CHEESE!!

The Race

Yay! go... somebody!! We decided to cheer for Cambridge when we found out that the Oxford team was mostly American, lucky too because Cambridge won!!
